Designing was what started it all for me and I try to find any time out of my hectic schedule for it. Drawing is just one tool out of many capable of inducing spontaneous creativity. Some write, others dance, the medium of expression chosen is irrelevant. Anything that takes an abstract thought and evolves it into a cohesive form is creation.

With so much human to human communication crossing over into an almost entirely digital arena, I believe it is vital that we all include the computer as a tool for telling ourselves who we are. With this digital palette of options: make music, paint masterpieces, film epics, teach people. Just create to communicate. It has to be one of the most rewarding experiences for a creator to share who he/she is with what they have assembled from just a “thought.”

As for inspiration, I cannot afford you any specifics of mine since there are so many wonderful “little” things that happen daily. A spark of ingenuity, not that I’ve ever had one, is probably like love at first sight. It happens without premeditation. You cannot will your soulmate to appear before your eyes while pretending to look studious at your local Starbucks. But, it may happen on your way to the parking lot.
